Age-based discounts

Age range Discount
Children up to 3 years old get a 100% discount on accommodation and meal services according to rate Y.
Children aged 4 to 6 get a 50% discount on accommodation and meal services according to rate Y.
Children aged 7 to 13 get a 25% discount on accommodation and meal services ccording to rate Y.

Notes
  • • Discounts for children up to 3 years old, from 4 to 6 years old and from 7 to 13 years old are considered promotions and therefore cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • • If you do not have a hostel membership card, the relevant supplement per night will be charged.
  • Check the general conditions for further details.

Institutional reductions

Youth Card holders
  • Not cumulative with other offers and/or promotions.

Large and Single-Parent Family Card
  • Applicable only to members of the same family unit, based on the corresponding rate and season. The minimum service required to benefit from this discount is full board.
  • The hostel card will not be required.
  • This promotion does not apply to group stays.
  • The discount is also available to families holding a large or single-parent family card issued by any Autonomous Community of Spain, upon request.

Foster Families in Catalonia
  • Applicable only to members of the same family unit, based on the corresponding rate and season.
  • The hostel card will not be required.

  • Applicable to hostels managed by the Catalan Youth Agency.
Directorate-General for Personal Autonomy and Disability. Disability Identification Card (In Catalan ICASS) 15% discount on accommodation and meals
  • Applicable to the person with a disability and another member of the household if they have been officially assessed as meeting the mobility impairment criteria and the need for a third person to assist with activities of daily living.
  • The person with a disability must hold a valid disability identification card.
  • The hostel card will not be required.
  • This promotion cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • Applicable to hostels managed by the Catalan Youth Agency.
Children’s and Youth Associations registered in the Youth Directorate‑General census (In Catalan DGI) 15% discount on the Y/G rate and corresponding season.
  • This discount is applicable to all groups censats as such at the Youth Directorate‑General (a group is defined as a minimum of 10 people).
  • The group will have to prove that it is registered in this registry.
  • This promotion cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • Applicable to hostels managed by the Catalan Youth Agency.
Department for European Union and Foreign Affairs. Register of Catalans Residing Abroad 10% discount on accommodation and meals.
  • Proof of registration in the Register of Catalans Residing Abroad .
  • This promotion cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • Applicable to hostels managed by the Catalan Youth Agency.
Staff of the Youth Directorate‑General and the Catalan Youth Agency
  • Proof of employment as a public administration worker must be provided, such as an official ID card or a payslip.
  • Please check the specific conditions of each program.
  • This promotion cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • Applicable to hostels managed by the Catalan Youth Agency.
Employees of the public administrations of Catalonia 10% discount on accommodation and meals.
  • This discount applies only to public administration staff (including education professionals).
  • Proof of employment as a public sector worker must be provided, such as an official ID card or a payslip.
  • This promotion cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • Applicable to hostels managed by the Catalan Youth Agency.
Youth leisure activity instructor and coordinator (educational leisure activities for children and young people) 5% discount on accommodation and meals.
  • Proof of qualification must be provided through the instructor’s card.
  • The hostel card will not be required.
  • This promotion cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • Regardless of season and services provided.
  • Applicable to hostels managed by the Catalan Youth Agency.

Commercial and promotional reductions

Free stays for teachers
for stays with school groups
  • • 1 free place per 20 students without an activity programme.
  • • 1 free place per 10 students with an activity programme.
  • • These free places will apply to all school groups accompanied by teachers.
  • • This free place will also apply to school groups coming from outside Catalonia. Please ask in the case of groups from outside Spain.
  • • Free places will only apply to school outings during school hours.
Online booking platform promotions According to the specific terms and conditions of the promotion.
  • • This type of promotion includes bookings made through platforms where reservations can be managed, such as Booking.com or via Hihostels.com

Reductions for federations and cultural, sports and social entities

  • • Applicable to bookings made by the FEEC, an individual member or any entity belonging to the FEEC.
  • • Presentation of the corresponding accreditation will be required.

  • • It will not be necessary to present the hostel membership card.

Catalan Federation of Winter Sports (FCEH). Members of FCEH 10% on accommodation and meals services
  • • Applicable to bookings made by the FCEH, an individual member or any entity belonging to the FCEH.
  • • Presentation of the corresponding accreditation will be required.
  • • Cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • • It will not be necessary to present the hostel membership card.

Catalan Handball Federation (FCH). Members of FCH 10% on accommodation and meals services

Federation of Giant Associations of Catalonia (FACGC). Members of FACGC 10% on accommodation and meals services

  • • It will not be necessary to present the hostel membership card.

6T Card, The Cistercian Route 10% on accommodation and meals services
  • • Applicable to holders of the 6T Card.
  • • Presentation of the corresponding accreditation will be required.
  • • Cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • • It will not be necessary to present the hostel membership card.
  • • Only applicable at the Xanascat l'Espluga de Francolí hostel
Federation ECOM
  • 15% on accommodation and meals services
  • • 1 free place per 20 attendees for support staff
  • • Applicable to bookings made by ECOM, an individual ECOM member with a disability or any entity affiliated with ECOM.
  • • Free place applicable to the personal assistant and/or accompanying person for accommodation bookings, and a 15% discount on meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for stays of up to 3 days/2 nights undertaken by persons with disabilities.
  • Cannot be combined with other offers and/or promotions.
  • • It will not be necessary to present the hostel membership card.
  • • Applicable to hostels run by the Catalan Youth Agency.

General considerations

  • Discounts and promotions offered by the Catalan Youth Agency cannot be combined unless explicitly stated in the promotion. They apply only to accommodation and meals and never to supplements.
     
  • XANASCAT discounts and promotions are not applicable to groups or to stays with activity programmes, such as Vacances en família (Family Holidays) and L’Estiu ésteu (Summer is Yours), except for the specific discounts of each programme.
     
  • The discount does not apply to the Tourist Tax on Stays in Tourist Establishments.
     
  • To benefit from each promotion, you must provide proof of eligibility by presenting the card, certificate or documentation entitling you to that promotion on arrival at the hostel.
     
  • Places available under these promotions are limited. The ACJ reserves the right to amend or withdraw any promotion or discount in any aspect related to its content without prior notice.
