Food allergies and intolerances

 

The increase in the number of food allergies and intolerances in recent years has led to the appearance of new regulations and laws with the goal of protecting the health of people who need to control their consumption of certain foods.

Therefore, at Xanascat we have developed and implemented a protocol to prevent food allergies and intolerances. Following it allows us to establish basic preventive and safety measures to lower each person’s risk of contact with allergens at meals, while also offering dietetic and nutritional support based on special food needs.

The following documents must be sent: 

For minors, parents or guardians of children or minors with food allergies or intolerances must fill it out.

The timeframe for sending the relevant information to the hostel by email is as follows:

  • 15 days before the start of your stay

This protocol is applicable to:

    Food allergies and intolerances considered standard:

    1.  No legumes
    2.  No gluten
    3.  No eggs
    4.  No fish or seafood
    5.  No protein from cow milk with calves
    6.  No protein from cow milk without calves
    7.  No lactose
    8.  No fruit with peels

    Food allergies and intolerances not standard:

    1. Non-standard food allergies/intolerances, illnesses not considered standard
    2. Mixed allergies: such as no eggs and no fruit with peels

    For medical, religious, ethical, moral and other reasons:

    1. Ovo-lacto vegetarian
    2. Astringent
    3. Easy digestion
    4. Vegan
    5. Halal/Meatless
    6. Others
