Description
Discounted entry of €3 in the Sant Pere de Casserres Monastery, the only Benedictine monastery in Osona, located in Les Masies de Roda. The promoter of the monastery was the viscountess Ermetruit in 1006, when she purchased the allodial domain of Casserres from Count Ramon Borrell of Barcelona with the intention of building a monastery devoted to Saint Peter. The monastery currently houses a permanent exhibition which interprets the life of the monks of Casserres by recreating the rooms conserved in the same layout over the centuries, as well as an audiovisual explaining the legend, history and process of building the monastic complex.
