School camps: A tool serving schools
The school activity programme, ‘A Tool Serving Schools’, aims to be a didactic instrument for education professions to provide children and young people with free-time education activities to help them learn skills and values.
We at Catalonia’s Youth Hostel Network (XANASCAT) and the more than 50 hostels in it suggest improving both knowledge of the material handled directly and knowledge of the land and culture of Catalonia by promoting a local, social and sustainable getaway.
We offer a wide variety of activities for all grades, from third to baccalaureate, as well as specific proposals for synthesis and research projects. We offer different lengths of stays for each of them: from 5 days/4 nights to 2 days/1 night. We adapt to the needs of people who, like us, view time outside the classroom as a chance to gain curricular knowledge that enhances students’ integral development and growth.
