There are four types of hostel cards: for young people, adults, families and groups. Get the one that suits you best!

A hostel card gives you advantages: discounts and deals for all kinds of activities. There are four types of hostel cards: for young people (aged 14-29), adults (aged 30 and over), families and groups (with at least 10 people).

As an important note, persons under 14 years of age do not need to have a youth hostel card.

What documentation is required to get one?
Original ID/NIE/passport or, if not available, a photocopy.

Price: €5.

Anyone who is 30 or older can apply for one with no age limit!

What documents do you have to present to get one?
- Original DNI/NIE/passport or, failing that, a photocopy.

Price: €10.

Families made up of one or two adults can apply for the card if they have one or more children under 14. The family will have to prove that all its members on family hostel card belong to the same family by means of their family book or equivalent.

Each adult in the family can use the card individually. This means that not all the members of the family have to be present when using the family card in the hostels.

However, children aged 14 or over will need to have their own individual hostel card for young people. Only children over 14 who have any legally recognised difficulty or disability can remain on the family card.

What documents do you have to present to get one?
- Original DNI/NIE/passport or, failing that, a photocopy.
- Original family book or equivalent or, failing that, a photocopy.

Price: €18.

This is for any type of group: an organisation, an association, a company, etc. The only condition is that there must be 10 or more people.

The name on the card will preferably be the name of the organisation, association or group. However, the name of the person over 18 responsible for the group can also be used.

What documents do you have to present to get one?
- Tax ID Code (CIF) of the company, organisation or association or alternatively
- the Tax ID No. (NIF) of the person responsible for the group.
- Document certifying it is a group and showing its members and their Tax ID Nos.

Price: €16.
Group hostel cards do not get the discounts in the Hostel Card Advantages Programme.

Hostel cards are valid for one year from the date of issue. The digital card allows the validity to be extended up to 2 years and to renew the card automatically.
