The Manresa Xanascat hostel is located in a fourteenth-century building that has been used for many purposes throughout its history. It was originally designed to be a monastery for Carmelite friars, but it has also been used as military barracks and a municipal warehouse. However, since 1990 it has been one of the hostels in the Government of Catalonia Youth Hostel Network.
Located in the city's historic centre, it is easy to walk through its most iconic streets and discover the cultural and natural heritage of this millennium-old city known as the ‘Heart of Catalonia’. Manresa is a dynamic city that hosts countless fairs and festivals and cultural, food and sporting events, and it's surrounded by nature.
