Planoles Xanascat, your base camp for exploration

Planoles is located a the bottom of a valley in the Pyrenees foothills of Ripoll, right in the heart of nature. Because nature is its prime asset, you can venture out into it on foot right from the hostel with walks or hikes. But that's not all: iconic locations as Núria Valley and the Ripoll monastery are very near it. In Planoles, you're also very near peaks more than 2,000 metres tall which are easy to reach, ski resorts like La Molina and La Masella, the northern part of the Berguedà region and La Cerdanya, where you can enjoy all kinds of adventure sports and fishing, and especially soak in the peace and quiet.

What you can do and what can you visit?

Get your skis, poles and helmet and head to the ski slopes next to the Planoles Xanascat hostel. You can also explore the mountains and valleys around it, wet your feet in the Rigard River or do a bit of sightseeing in the surrounding villages, like Queralbs, Campdevànol, Castellar de n’Hug and Ribes de Freser.
